Post-graduate    :  Programmes

Proposal for ME in Computer Aided Structural Analysis and Design was sent in 1998 to AICTE.  Subsequently, a team of experts visited our institution.  The report is still awaited.  Again, the application for M.E. in Computer Aided Structural Analysis and Design was made in 1999 to AICTE.

However, the faculty members have taught at P.G. level and guided many thesis even during 1996-2000.  M.E thesis have been guided and courses have been taught by faculty members in institutes delivering P.G. Courses.

Out of 19 faculty members, 17 are post-graduate in various fields like structures, geotechnical engg. and construction technology.  Many have already vast experience of P.G. teaching and guiding P.G. thesis.

Following  faculty members are eligible for post graduate teaching :

1)                                                               Dr. H.V. Trivedi (also for Ph.D)

Research           : Programmes

Shri B.S Munjal has registered for Ph.D under guidance of Dr. H V Trivedi.  The title for the thesis is ‘Finite Element Analysis, Design and Development of Smart Skin Space Craft Antenna Reflectors using Intelligent/Smart Materials of Structural Systems’.  A good progress is made by the candidate.

Dr. P.J. Mehta who was working at this institute from November 97 to May 99 as Professor has guided Shri. A.D. Kadiwala for his Ph.D. programme and his topic of dissertation was ‘Modeling for Radial Collecting Well’.

Shri R.P. Vasani, Lecturer in Civil Engineering has completed his Ph.D thesis in May 2001.  The title of dissertation was ‘Determination of Reservoir Operating Rules for Multipurpose Multi Reservoir System – a Case Study’.

Shri P.V. Patel, Asst. Professor in Civil Engineering at this institute has registered for Ph.D in M.S. University in August 2000, under the guidance of Dr. S.C. Patodi.  The topic is ‘Application of Parallel and Distributed Processing in Structural Engineering’.

Efforts are being made with industries to get sponsored research projects.
